RCD Testing

A residual current device (RCD) commonly known as a “safety switch” is designed to isolate power when there is a difference of 30mA (milliamps) between the active and neutral conductor.

DCE Contracting provides an RCD testing service measuring the time taken for the switch to operate following a current leakage fault being simulated. RCD's must be tested regularly in accordance with local regulation and AS3760. RCD testing is an important and sometimes neglected aspect of regular testing of fixed and portable RCD's. This testing is required to ensure their operation should leakage to earth occur in the workplace.

Maintenance Schedule

We will look after the re-accuring maintenance schedule and ensure that you  have the piece of mind that your equipment is operating as safely and as best as it can.

Detailed Reporting

Detailed reports will be supplied containing a list of the location of the RCD, Controlling Circuits, Test Date and the results from the Visual and Trip Time tests carried out.

Reliability

Our commitment to our customers means that we will have any relevant documents sent to our customers in a timely fashion. We understand the importance of accurate and timely documentation.
