This car DVD player has a very sleek, black face that opens smoothly to insert a CD or DVD. Open the DVD compartment by pressing on the "Push Open" button at the top right corner of the base and the front screen pops open. As soon as the image appears on the built-in 4-inch colour LCD screen, you can't help but be amazed with the detailed, sharp, bright and colourful image. It's simply stunning! Controls let you adjust the viewing mode, the colour and brightness. The screen is of an amazing brightness and can be easily seen on the sunniest of days.
The audio is also something to behold it has been setup for optimal performance through the 4 X 60W it pushes out and believe me you can really hear the difference between 45W and 60W. It's fantastic.TV output is above average but you do have to change the output between widescreen and standard for use on the TV Tuner. You get all channels you usually can pick up and the reception is good when it metro areas.
It also comes with a wafer thin remote control which is great but you can lose it easily which I personally feel is the down fall. The unit operation doesn't rely on the remote so if you lose it then it doesn't really matter at all.Lastly, the cool thing about this
unit is that it has a Video input and
output also, which means that you can
connect other monitors to the one unit.
Great feature. It's going to be tough to
beat out Panasonic in this market
because they've been at it for so long.
The same thing goes for portable LCD
screens in car audio. Forget the Alpine,
Sony and the rest. Just check out
Distinct's range and you'll be amazed.
